These pieces are constructed of old tins. Some I've had for more than 20 years and some I found perhaps just the other day at the Goodwill or a yard sale. The photos used in some of the work are original tin type photos, popular during the Civil War era. I love the idea of using other people's castoffs to create something exquisite.

The tins pieces are mounted on wood and edged with handsome brass strips so no framing is required. Each piece is wired and ready to hang.
